Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum Delivers Three More Emmy Wins for Australia’s Northern Pictures

Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum has picked up three more Emmy Awards, adding another major achievement for Australian production company Northern Pictures.

The fourth season won Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys, alongside awards for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program.

The latest wins bring Love on the Spectrum to 10 Emmys from 17 nominations, continuing a remarkable awards run for a series that began in Australia and has since found a much wider audience through Netflix.

Created by Northern Pictures’ Karina Holden and Cian O’Clery, Love on the Spectrum first premiered in Australia before Netflix introduced the series to audiences around the world. Its success later led to a US adaptation, also produced by Northern Pictures.

The series follows people on the autism spectrum as they navigate dating and relationships, with its warm and deeply personal approach becoming central to its appeal.

Australian creatives remain closely involved in the series. O’Clery serves as director and executive producer, while Holden continues as co-creator and executive producer.

This year’s Emmys also recognised the team behind the production. Cian O’Clery, Sean Bowman, Ashley Morgan and Emily Frisbie received the award for casting, while Marcus Kjellberg, Leanne Cole, Kim Lloyd and John Rosser were recognised for picture editing.

Northern Pictures Head of Factual Karina Holden said the team was “over the moon” with the latest recognition, paying tribute to the participants and crew behind the series.

There is more to come. A fifth season of Love on the Spectrum is already in production for Netflix, giving Northern Pictures another chapter in a journey that began with a homegrown Australian series and now counts 10 Emmys to its name.
