Apple TV Renews See-Saw Films’ Slow Horses for an Eighth Season

Apple TV has renewed its acclaimed espionage drama Slow Horses for an eighth season, extending the run of the award-winning series produced by See-Saw Films.
Based on Clown Town, the ninth novel in Mick Herron’s Slough House book series, the new season will see Jackson Lamb, played by Gary Oldman, drawn into another high-stakes confrontation with MI5’s Diana Taverner, played by Kristin Scott Thomas.
When an attempted blackmail goes wrong, Lamb is forced to confront one of the intelligence agency’s darkest secrets, placing the future of Slough House and its team of outcast agents at risk.
Australian Connections Behind the Acclaimed Series
Produced by See-Saw Films, the production company co-founded by Australian producer Emile Sherman and his UK production partner Lain Canning, Slow Horses follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents working out of MI5’s less-than-glamorous Slough House.
The company, which maintains offices in Sydney and London, has produced the series for Apple TV since its debut in 2022.
The acclaimed ensemble also includes Australian actor Christopher Chung as technology expert Roddy Ho, providing another Australian connection to the Apple TV series. Chung, who grew up in Victoria, has appeared across the first six seasons and received a BAFTA Television Award nomination for his performance.
The renewal follows continued critical recognition for Slow Horses, including Emmy and BAFTA success, and carries the series well beyond its current sixth season. A seventh season has already been filmed, with the eighth instalment continuing Apple TV and See-Saw Films’ long-running collaboration.
Season 6 of Slow Horses is now streaming on Apple TV, with new episodes released weekly.
