Australian Titles Lead Netflix’s 2026 Slate with Return of Heartbreak High and New Adaptations

Netflix’s “Heartbreak High” Season 3 and “My Brilliant Career” are officially landing in 2026, alongside a slate of new film and television content.
Netflix’s 2026 content slate for Australia will feature a mix of returning local favourites and new adaptations, led by the next season of Heartbreak High and a reimagining of My Brilliant Career.
The third season of Heartbreak High will continue the story of its central group of students as they approach the end of school and transition into adulthood, with much of the original cast returning. Alongside it, My Brilliant Career brings a fresh screen interpretation of Miles Franklin’s novel, with a new ensemble cast contributing to the adaptation.
These Australian titles form part of a broader global slate that includes returning international series such as Beef, alongside upcoming seasons of established franchises including Bridgerton and Avatar: The Last Airbender, highlighting the mix of local and international content across the platform.
Additional releases scheduled for 2026 include new seasons of Virgin River and Sweet Magnolias, further reflecting the scale and diversity of Netflix’s programming pipeline.
Together, the slate demonstrates how locally produced stories continue to sit alongside global titles within streaming platforms, supporting both domestic storytelling and international reach.
